About the Maker
I'm glad you're here. My name is Gabriela and I am the creator behind Prickly Pear Pots. I am a former Tucsonan who moved to The Valley in 2014 to put down new roots.
In addition to a mother and wife, I am a full-time employee in the higher education space, contributing to initiatives that close achievement gaps and strive to create equity within a system not created for BIPOC people.
I am passionate about work-life balance, friendship, wordle, and board games.
Prickly Pear Pots
In March of 2021, ceramics started off as a way for me to commit time to myself and pursue a new creative outlet. Since then, it has grown to be a large part of my life. As someone who is not gifted in most visual arts, I love being able to create through clay and make something that is practical and beautiful.
As an Enneagram 3, I kept asking myself what was next and found encouragement from my network to share my work with others. I am excited to take this next step into small business ownership and explore the maker-space of Phoenix.
